USA Astronomy and Astrophysics Olympiad (USAAAO)
The USAAAO is one of the national science olympiads (along with the USABO, USNCO, USAPhO, etc.) and is the premier astrophysics competition in the country.
The First Round of the competition is a proctored 75-minute-long multiple choice exam administered in late January covering all aspects of the IOAA Syllabus. Based on the results, a certain number of students will be invited to take the second round National Astronomy Competition (NAC). The top 20 scorers from the NAC will be invited to train at a summer camp, from which 10 students will be chosen to represent the US at that year's IOAA (International Olympiad on Astronomy and Astrophysics).
More information about the USAAAO, including past exams, can be found on the national USAAAO website.
